Detox Your Body

Detox cleanses I’ve tried

We all put things in our body that we know we shouldn’t. Weather it’s fast food, beer, or a late night snack that’s high in sugar. That’s why it’s important that we learn to detox our bodies, or cleanse it so to speak, to clean it out. I think water is a good way to detox our bodies, and these days you can buy flavored water, but have you thought of flavoring your own water? I have tried my own at home. There’s plenty of things you can try, and my personal favorite is cucumber water. It sounds weird, but it’s a great detox. All you need is some fruits, cut into small chunks, water, and a pitcher. Choose what you want to flavor your water with. I will use cucumber as an example, but you can use lemon, oranges, berries, or whatever combo of those you like. Cut your fruit into small chunks, and place in bottom of a pitcher. Then fill it with water, and let set in fridge for a few hours. And wah-la, you have your own flavored water. Be sure to try different variations. Currently, I have tried herbal detox teas, and they are great as well. Ask about our keto shred program here.

5 Detox Foods

I am gonna give you 5 detox foods that you can buy at the grocery store and use for a good detox. The first is cucumber, which I previously mentioned, it’s around 95% water, helps flush out toxins, and alkalizes the body while giving a nutrient punch. Second is grapefruit. Grapefruit lowers cholesterol, prevents kidney stones, and aids the digestive system. Third is broccoli, yeah that green stuff you hated as a kid. Broccoli delivers a large dose of vitamins while eliminating toxins. Next is citrus fruits, great for making detox water. Citrus fruits are high in vitamin C. Last is red bell pepper, which contains 3 times more vitamin C then oranges.

Do You Bake?

Do You Bake?/Crave It uses these items, and many more in their products. They add chopped up red and green peppers to several of their meal mixes. The broccoli and cheddar soup is packed with broccoli, and of course it tastes better with cheddar. Or try the Crave It Smoothz that contains broccoli powder. Garlic is another natural ingredient used in detox. They have garlic also in many products like seasonings, meal mixes, and their Za sauce. They also offer a Keto Shred Program, which is excellent for detox because you learn how to manage weight loss, and your eating habits. Although, the program will not force you to eat anything you don’t like. It’s customizable to you, and what you like to eat. Be sure to keep checking my store as I add products from do you bake.

More Detox

If we were all blatantly honest with ourselves, we would just admit that the best detox is to just not put unhealthy things in our bodies, so we wouldn’t have anything to detox from, but it isn’t that easy is it? Although, I wish it was! Lemon, in my personal opinion, is one of the best ingredients for detox. Also great to use in detox water recipes. Lemon water is also something those use as a detox process. Lemon has absorbic acid, which aids in the cleansing process. Check out my second blog post where I added a photo with a list of all the ways lemon water can help our bodies.
